Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use Trail — the website trailmem.com, the documentation at docs.trailmem.com, the application at app.trailmem.com, the Web Clipper browser extension and the embeddable widget. By using Trail you accept these terms.

Relation to a customer agreement

If you or your company has a written agreement with us, that agreement takes precedence over these terms wherever the two differ.

Your account

You must provide accurate information when you create an account or sign in with an account from another service (for example Google).

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your credentials to yourself.

You can ask us to close your account at any time via legal@broberg.ai.

Your content

What you put into Trail — sources, notes, and the knowledge compiled from them — remains yours. You give us the right to store and process it only as far as needed to provide Trail to you.

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, including any personal data it contains.

On request, we provide a copy of your knowledge bases. When your account is closed, your content is deleted as described in our privacy policy.

Quality control

To measure and improve the quality of its answers, Trail logs every search and every answer that is based on a knowledge base: the question, the parts of the knowledge base that were used, and the final answer. This applies to every system that uses Trail, and it is a condition for using the service. Systems that call Trail directly must report their final answer back to Trail.

How long the logs are kept, where they are stored and who can read them is described in our privacy policy.

Acceptable use

You may not use Trail to:

break the law or infringe the rights of others,

try to gain access to systems or data you are not entitled to,

send spam, malicious code or automated requests at a volume that burdens the service,

impersonate someone else.

We may close or restrict access in case of misuse.

AI-generated content

Trail uses language models to compile your sources and to answer questions. The results may be incomplete or wrong. They are not advice, and important decisions should be checked against the original sources, which Trail links to.

Intellectual property

Trail itself — the software, design, text and trademarks — belongs to WEB HOUSE ApS or our licensors. You may link to trailmem.com and quote it with attribution, but not copy it in full or use it commercially without our permission.

Availability and liability

Trail is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it available and correct, but do not guarantee that it always is. To the extent permitted by Danish law, we are not liable for indirect loss, such as lost profit or lost data. This limitation does not apply in cases of intent or gross negligence.

Personal data

How we process personal data, and where it lives, is described in our privacy policy.

Changes

We may change these terms. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. If you have an account, we will notify you of material changes before they take effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Danish law, and disputes are settled by the Danish courts.
